Reflections before E-Day

Well, tomorrow Freo decides.

The extraordinary journey of the campaign has not been what I expected. It has been so much better.

I have been challenged, touched and inspired by the experience and come out the other end more ambitious and determined  than ever before!

Not for my own personal benefit or recognition, but by what we, as a community can achieve together. I have met so many extraordinary people doing great things in our city who want to be part of its improvement.

Whatever the outcome of tomorrows poll, I look forward to continuing to be a committed, active participant in my community. I hope that those I have met who are keen to pursue local projects – like the place making street parties; the recognition of local Aboriginal culture; innovative affordable housing and sustainable urban developments – will do so with (or without) me.

There is an incredible energy in Fremantle right now – a feeling of hope, optimism and creativity – we all have a role to play in it and I look forward to playing mine, whatever that may be.

  • Good luck Rach !!

    • thanks Pete – you too!

  • go girl!
